As a seasoned executive and trusted advisor, Paul Wirth brings four decades of leadership experience spanning public accounting, corporate transformation, and executive mentorship. Paul helps senior leaders navigate pivotal career and life transitions with clarity and purpose. He draws on deep boardroom and C-suite insight to support executives in shaping what’s next—whether that means redefining impact, exploring new ventures, or embracing growth opportunities.
Prior to his retirement from Morgan Stanley in December 2020, Paul led the restructuring and modernization of the firm’s finance function as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He transformed technology, processes, and roles for more than 3,000 professionals, working closely with the Board Audit Committee and serving on multiple high-level strategy teams. Paul also helped guide the firm through the 2008 financial crisis as Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. He has served as a Board Member and Audit Committee Chair for Morgan Stanley Europe Holding SE and on the Board of Morgan Stanley Holdings, LLC.
Previously, Paul held C-level roles at Credit Suisse and served as National Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche’s Banking and Finance practice. He began his career at KPMG where he rose to become Senior Client Service and Audit Partner for the firm’s largest financial services client, and Segment Leader for its largest service practice.
Paul serves as an Independent Director of The Toronto-Dominion Bank’s (“TD Bank Group”) Board, and as a member of both the Audit and Corporate Governance Committees. He is also a member of the St. John’s University Board of Trustees and Finance Committee, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. A founding member of Morgan Stanley’s disability network, Paul has been an Advisory Board member of The ARC of Essex County and enjoys volunteering as a Special Olympics Coach for his son’s softball team. Paul lives in New Vernon, New Jersey, with his wife, Theresa, and shares a love of rescue dogs with his whole family.
