Mark Korell

Mark Korell brings decades of leadership experience across financial services, with deep expertise in mortgage banking and finance. Drawing on a career spanning entrepreneurial growth, enterprise leadership, public service, and nonprofit governance, he offers a grounded perspective to leaders reflecting on their next chapter. He is known for his steady judgment and strategic clarity while helping executives align professional decisions with personal priorities.

Over the course of his career, Mark has held multiple CEO and president roles within the mortgage and financial services sector. Most recently, he served as President and CEO, and later Chairman, of Hamilton Home Loans, Inc., where annual volume exceeded $2 billion. His leadership experience also includes senior roles at JPMorgan Chase, Norwest Bank, GMAC Mortgage Group, and Residential Funding Corporation, where he led national organizations through growth, acquisition, and integration. Earlier in his career, Mark served in public service with the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.

In parallel with his corporate leadership, Mark has maintained a strong commitment to nonprofit and community-based organizations. He served in senior board leadership roles with Habitat for Humanity International, including Vice Chair and Chair of the US Council, as well as with Habitat North Carolina. His board service also includes Mercy Housing, the Mercy Loan Fund, and Self-Help Ventures Fund, supporting affordable housing and community development initiatives at scale.

Mark holds a BS with High Honors from the University of Wisconsin School of Engineering and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Now retired, he enjoys time with family, travel, tennis, and continued leadership in philanthropic organizations.
