Vanessa Lo transcended barriers within a predominantly male industry, emerging as a respected Big Four global team leader, DEI champion, and board director. An impactful advisor to MyNextSeason clients, she guides them as they progress through the career landscape and face varied corporate and board-related challenges.

Vanessa is a member of Ascends Aspiring Directors Academy, an exclusive program empowering Pan-Asian senior executives with a growth-yielding network and a path toward board leadership opportunities. She additionally served as an inaugural co-chair of the Women Corporate Directors San Francisco Bay Chapter, where she worked tirelessly to elevate female leadership to the boardroom.

Over her 31-year career in professional services, Vanessa rapidly progressed to become an Advisory Partner at KPMG. Notably, she founded KPMG’s Contract Compliance Practice, steering its substantial growth to a nationwide network and assisting her clients in identifying revenue-generating and cost savings opportunities. As the IT Business Management Community Lead, she shaped and grew the division’s IT cost optimization offering, generating multi-million-dollar savings opportunities for CIO clientele.

With strong leadership abilities and an eagerness to invest her time in others, Vanessa became a sought-after mentor to colleagues and a trusted advisor to corporate executives and boards worldwide. A staunch advocate for workplace diversity, she helped cultivate a community of support for over 5,000 KPMG employees as the founder and leader of the firm’s Women in Consulting Group and co-leader of its Women in Advisory Program.

Vanessa’s influence extends into her greater community, where she serves as a Board Member for Hillsborough Auxiliary for Peninsula Family Services.

She is a Licensed CPA in California and earned a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of California.
