Having successfully transitioned from his career at Bank of America into a portfolio of entrepreneurial, coaching, not-for-profit, and consulting roles, Mike is an ideal My Next SeasonAdvisor to clients in career transition. A seasoned leadership consultant, and mentor to youth and college students, Mike serves as a caring, enthusiastic supporter for clients as he helps them discern the best use of their skills and passion in their next chapter of work and life.
In his first decade at the bank, Mike led various business units within the Operations Group. He then joined the Corporate Real Estate Division, where he held numerous executive management roles over the next 20+ years. He led the design, construction, and project management of the bank’s $800M development in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, and later of all the bank’s branches, ATMs, and retail renovation projects across the franchise.After leaving Bank of America, Mike continued to pursue his passion for developing leaders through his private consulting practice.
Mike’s non-profit endeavors include co-founding Stewards of the Game, a group that teaches faith-based life lessons through sports to more than 1,000 youth annually, and founding LIFT 4:10,a mentoring organization that provides one-on-one sports training, life coaching, and academic tutoring to at-risk youth. Mike is active in campus outreach at his alma mater, Davidson College, and serves as a guest speaker and mentor to Davidson student-athletes. He also serves as a Ministry Partner at his church and enjoys scuba diving, tennis, and snow skiing with his wife, Teresa, and two adult sons.
