A transformational former Chief Human Resources Officer, Marty Gervasi has seen the critical importance of managing transitions well, both for executives and their organizations. She now applies her more than 30 years of Human Resource expertise as a MyNextSeason Senior Advisor, helping each client discern and translate their priorities, hopes, and goals into a meaningful next season. A former client herself, she recognizes the benefit of having a guide who provides comprehensive support as well as the encouragement, space, and grace to think about new opportunities, make new connections, and get creative about the future.
Prior to MyNextSeason, Marty served as CHRO of The Hartford Financial Services Group and a key member of the executive leadership team, aligning human capital strategies with corporate goals to drive results. She led a multiyear transformation strategy to modernize and enhance the company’s culture, employee experience, and Human Resource function. She also advocated for and created robust succession plans that became crucial to the company’s success. Her inventive, forward-thinking efforts, aimed at addressing the unique needs of five generations in the workforce, earned numerous recognitions by external organizations for progress in creating a more diverse, inclusive, and contemporary work environment.
An active and dedicated board member, Marty is an Independent Director of POOLCORP (POOL) and Chair of its Compensation Committee. She additionally serves as an auxiliary member for SPARCC, a Florida-based organization dedicated to promoting social change to end domestic and sexual violence. She recently co-authored Preparing CEOs for Success: Insights from CEOs and Directors, revealing important shifts and insights in how to best prepare and onboard C-Suite Executives. Marty and her husband Mike have three adult children, and enjoy spending their time traveling, cooking, and golfing.
