Karen Morton brings a steady, thoughtful presence to her work with leaders navigating periods of change and reflection. A longtime executive and trusted mentor, she draws on more than 25 years of experience leading legal and compliance strategies in complex, highly regulated environments. Karen most recently served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Compliance Officer at Liberty Mutual, where she led a team of more than 180 compliance professionals across 22 countries. She helped elevate the global compliance function into a business-aligned partner and championed innovation in cyber risk, sustainability, and AI governance. Earlier in her career, she served as Deputy General Counsel, overseeing a $200M litigation portfolio, resolving high-stakes legal matters, and improving internal capabilities to reduce costs and risk.

Known for her listening skills, practical insight, and commitment to developing others, Karen has mentored hundreds of professionals throughout her career and has been widely recognized for her contributions to the legal field. She began her career in public sector law and rose to the highest levels of corporate leadership without losing sight of the importance of creating cultures of belonging, integrity, and personal purpose.

Karen currently serves on the Boards of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Bridge Over Troubled Waters, where she is Board Chair. She earned her JD from Northeastern University and her BA from Tufts University. She lives in Boston, where she enjoys engaging in community service and supporting the next generation of leaders.
