Dr. Denise Rollins brings empathy and insight to her work with individuals and communities navigating loss and renewal. As a MyNextSeason Grief Support Advisor, she helps clients explore what comes after profound change, whether that change is the death of someone they care about or a major life transition that brings unexpected grief. Drawing on her personal and professional journey, Dr. Rollins creates space for reflection, healing, and renewed connection.
Dr. Rollins is the Founder and former Executive Director of the Whole Heart Grief and Life Resource Center, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people embrace life after loss. Her organization provides coaching and workshops that strengthen communication and restore a sense of meaning and belonging. She has designed innovative models for dialogue and community engagement while leading initiatives that advance inclusion, cultural understanding, and emotional well-being.
Previously, Dr. Rollins served as Vice President of Operations for Rollins Life Celebration Center, where she helped shape a new approach to grief care within the funeral and death care industry. Her prior experience in financial services and higher education deepened her appreciation for human potential and informed her inclusive, whole-person approach to leadership and healing.
A frequent speaker and educator, Dr. Rollins shares her expertise nationally on grief, resilience, and the human experience of change. She holds a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern University, an MA in Thanatology from Hood College, and a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Rollins believes in the power of shared humanity and the healing that comes from authentic connection. Through her work, she helps clients find steadiness in transition, honoring both the grief of loss and the grief of what comes next.
