Monica Tarr

Functional Medicine Health Advisor

A Board-Certified Functional Medicine health advisor, Monica helps professionals coordinate care to improve their cognitive health by optimizing lifestyle habits.

Monica Tarr, FMCHC, NBC-HWC, Co-Founder of Grow & Go, LLC, is a Board-Certified Functional Medicine health advisor affiliated with the Institute for Functional Medicine. Monica works in tandem with physicians, helping high-performing professionals coordinate care to improve their cognitive health and longevity by optimizing lifestyle habits, such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, toxin reduction, stress management, and relationship building.

Helping MyNextSeason clients perform at their best, Monica designs and facilitates evidence-based health education and coaching programs focused on brain health, metabolic wellness, hormone balance, diabetes, and heart disease prevention. She’s also a pioneering coach for Apollo Health’s Alzheimer’s prevention and reversal programs and various ongoing support groups.

Monica’s transition to health advising began with a family history of Alzheimer’s disease and firsthand experiences with crippling brain fog and fatigue that threatened her livelihood and overall quality of life. With the support of her physician and new research on brain health and longevity, Monica changed the way she eats, moves, sleeps, and socializes, which cured her symptoms in just four months.

Prior to health coaching, Monica earned a BA in Business Administration from the California State University of Fullerton and spent 20 years as a customer experience consultant, helping Fortune 500 companies improve their customer journeys, increase efficiency, and develop collaborative, cross-functional teams.

In her spare time, Monica trains her previously wild Andalusian horse—competing in dressage and working equitation, teaches yoga to fellow equestrians, and enjoys the beauty of Northern Idaho with her husband of 20+ years.
