As a Director of Transition Support, Jeannie Hodes partners with advisors to help clients explore a range of opportunities in their next season, including board work, not-for-profit engagement, consulting, full-time work, or a portfolio of activities. She additionally leads a team of writers to create compelling resumes and biographies that highlight how each executive’s unique qualifications apply toward fulfilling new roles.

A former television news reporter, Jeannie blends her engaging interviewing skills and attentive writing style to help clients rebrand themselves with professional materials that inspire confidence in reaching next season goals. She also leverages her journalism background to break down and learn complex information quickly, respond quickly to changing needs, and meet demanding deadlines.

Before joining MyNextSeason, Jeannie co-hosted a political interview program for Spectrum where she interviewed legislators on a variety of issues. Prior to moving to the Kansas City area, Jeannie managed a capitol news bureau in Trenton, New Jersey and reported for news stations in Fort Myers, Florida and Topeka, Kansas.

Passionate about helping women transition back into the workforce after sabbaticals to care for family, Jeannie enjoys speaking to audiences on presenting themselves with confidence as they seek to reenter professional roles. She also serves as a JDRF Community Outreach Volunteer, supporting families and their children who are recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

Jeannie is a graduate of the University of Kansas and lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with her husband and two children.
