Following an uncommonly diverse executive career that has spanned four decades—in a Fortune 100 airline, two nationally recognized nonprofits, a major civic organization, plus service on boards in healthcare, financial services, and higher education—Vicki Escarra is now focusing her talents on advising for MyNextSeason. Vicki’s dynamic career has honed her perspective, leadership, and coaching skills. She thoroughly understands the distinct roles of board member, CEO, and senior management and has attracted a followership of great talent through integrity, listening, and empowerment.

Over 30 years at Delta Airlines, Vicki became the highest-ranking woman in aviation, overseeing $15B revenue and 52,000 employees as Chief Marketing Officer and EVP of Customer Service. During her watch, Delta was named “Airline of the Year” and “Number One in Customer Satisfaction” by Air Transport World.

For two global nonprofits, Vicki created powerful strategies for marketing, branding, organizational culture, and fundraising. As Global CEO of the microfinance charity Opportunity International, she led 20,000 staff and 30,000 donors to help 17 million clients in 22 countries rise from poverty and strengthen their families and communities. As President/CEO of Feeding America, she quadrupled revenue to $1.2B to become the nation’s third-largest nonprofit.

Vicki’s additional board service includes DocuSign Advisory, Centene, HealthNet, A.G. Edwards, Roosevelt University, Emory University, and Sesame Workshop. She has received numerous honors and awards, and she has been profiled in The Wall Street Journal, Chronicle of Philanthropy, and USA Today.

Vicki earned her BA from Georgia State University and certificates from Columbia University’s Executive Management and Harvard’s Leadership programs. She lives in Chicago, has two adult daughters, and enjoys sports, outdoor activities, travel, and supporting her beloved Chicago Cubs.
