Bill Bloom is a Fortune 150 global technology and customer operations leader who brings invaluable expertise to MyNextSeason. He leverages more than 30 years of success across the insurance and professional services industries in implementing innovative technology and data & analytics functions, in addition to serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and board members on growth initiatives, cost efficiencies, operational risk, M&A integration, and cyber security.
As Executive Vice President of Technology, Data & Analytics, Claims, and Operations at The Hartford, Bill led a workforce of approximately 18,000 professionals with an operating budget of $2.4B. With responsibility for $400M annually in technology investments, he increased digital capabilities across all business units and established robust AI and data & analytics functions that enhanced risk management, growth, and operational processes. Dedicated to mentoring young professionals, especially underrepresented, high-potential talent, he served as executive sponsor to The Hartford’s Professional Women’s Network and Black Insurance Professional Network.
Previously, Bill evolved the strategic direction of EXL and drove dramatic growth as President of Global Client Services. His earliest roles included EVP of Technology and Operations for The Travelers Companies and Partner at Accenture.
Bill has gained deep governance and coaching experience as an active board member and corporate advisor, helping organizations prepare for the future. He currently serves as an advisor to CoverForce, delivering digital innovations to the insurance purchase experience. He also serves on the board of Duck Creek Technologies and was previously on the board of St. Francis Hospital and the advisory boards of Guidewire and Cape Analytics. Bill earned a BS in Computer Science from SUNY Albany. He and his wife Maria have two adult daughters whom they love to spend time with skiing, golfing, and hiking.
