Tom Renyi, best known for leading the Bank of New York Company as its CEO, now leverages his experience as a MyNextSeason Advisor. Widely respected as a transformational executive and distinguished leader in the financial services industry, Tom has served on the boards of directors of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated, Royal Bank of Canada, New York Stock Exchange, and New York Clearing House Association.

Tom retired in 2008 as the Executive Chairman of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, having overseen the global integration of the people, technology, and capabilities of both The Bank of New York and Mellon Financial, which merged in 2007 under his leadership. Prior to the merger, Tom served as Chairman and CEO of The Bank of New York for more than a decade, successfully directing its transformation into a global leader in securities servicing. He also headed the transition team responsible for integrating the Irving Trust Company into The Bank of New York, the largest merger in the US banking industry at the time.

Tom earned a BA in Business Administration and MBA from Rutgers and has devoted much time and energy to furthering his alma mater’s mission as an Executive Advisor and board member. In 2001, he sponsored the Thomas A. Renyi Endowed Chair in Banking at Rutgers Business School to attract and retain renowned faculty to develop leaders in the field. He has additionally served on the boards of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.

Tom served as a First Lieutenant in Military Intelligence with the US Army in Vietnam. He is married with three children and eight grandchildren.
