Margaret Grun Kibben

First Female Chaplain of the House

Formerly the U.S. Navy’s 26th Chief of Chaplains, Navy Rear Admiral (ret.) Margaret Kibben is now serving as the first female Chaplain for the U.S. House of Representatives. She begins each day praying before the nation’s representatives and has initiated “Chaplain’s Chats,” where she leads discussions on important topics such as moral injury and forgiveness. When not at the Capitol, Margaret enjoys the outdoors and recently biked through Death Valley and hiked Mount Whitney — the lowest and highest points in the United States.
