Retiring in early 2024, Maya started her next season by fulfilling a long-held desire to live overseas. She moved with her family to London, England, where they enjoy exploring the city, seeing shows, trying new restaurants, and traveling. When not engaging with a never-ending stream of visitors, she participates on a variety of boards, including a large multinational, a government agency, a tech scale-up, and a non-profit that focuses on making the pilot profession accessible for diverse youth.
