When Sam Fogleman closed the chapter on his KPMG career, he began writing a new one—this time in verse, not spreadsheets nor PowerPoints. Grounded by his “touchstones” of joy, engagement, and meaning, he’s learning Italian, crafting poetry he hopes to soon publish, and mentoring students at Chico State. For Sam, fulfillment comes from embracing uncertainty and finding purpose beyond productivity.
