Doug Parker retired as CEO of American Airlines in 2023 and has since set his sights on creating meaningful change for the next generation of airline pilots. He and his wife, Gwen, founded Breaking Down Barriers, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to aviation careers for women and people of color by addressing awareness and affordability challenges in pilot training.
